when the store isn't open

i think it's inevitable
i will run out of soy milk
maybe i should tell you about the road trip
that i wanted to take
driving through new mexico to colorado
i was going to stop here
also i was going to see georgia o'keeffe new mexico abiquiu
and
i was going to do whatever else
came along
i was having trouble
making that stuff fit in because it was too close
but also too far
understand
and then
i wanted to stay here for one night
well
i can't remember if it was the armstrong
or the elizabeth
but
right next door
and there was this alley
between
and when i saw a picture
i realized that that was what i saw
in my dream
and even though
i thought
surely your wife would be there
and surely it would end up
being a cry fest
i wanted to go anyway
