I had BEEN doing my own laundry

I was maybe
EIGHT
AND
at daddy and deborah's
I had done vacuuming and windows
at LEAST every weekend
& I kept my room clean
at my mommy's
MY room
was communal territory
if I had an EMPTY spot
SHE would
PUT
a BOX in it
when her little sister got divorced
she and her son
moved into
my room
(continuing, but not right now, I'm going to fix something to eat and I need to not think about this for a little while -- but circle back on DISHES)
