ok

i do want to say something about colin powell at the dnc

i'm not a fan of anyone who was part of that administration

i think powell was kinda roped into some stuff

that he may not have been comfortable with

but

it doesn't make him any less a part of it

and he gave them credibility

so, he did real damage

i'm not keen on him being part of the dnc

however

i'm in general approval of the whole

let's bring in the fucking republicans

because

social psychology has shown again and again

that people are more likely to do something that they

might not normally do

if somebody else does it first

it frees them to do it

and

i want the people who voted for 45 last time

or didn't vote last time

to say

i can vote for a democratic candidate

i can vote for someone who might be difficult for me

and, also, i would like there to be at least a little detente

between democrats and republicans to remember that we're all people

that's my hope
