I was a toddler
I was not steady on my feet
he was down on the floor with me
maybe he was
SOMEHOW
I can't REMEMBER
he was SMOKING my cheek got
BURNED
not bad, but, ya know, burned
& he had to take me
to the PHARMACY
AND
I MEAN everybody LOOKED at HIM
LIKE something
OR
MAYBE he just
THOUGHT so
& I don't even REMEMBER
if we GOT anything
I remember the inside of the pharmacy
it was one I'd NEVER been to
later in life
I worked next door to it
it wasn't a pharmacy
BUT
I can't NOW remember
