in the HEAD
& I STILL MIGHT not be

I THINK
HAVE THOUGHT
although I don't believe I've
MENTIONED it
that I BELIEVE
WHEN I am ABLE to WRITE a GOOD short story
I will figure I've got my
BRAIN BACK

I'm AWARE that my short stories
TEND to probably
LEAVE out
SOMETHING that I can't qualify
that I SENSE is WANTED
BUT don't UNDERSTAND

THEN I read some japanese fiction and I think
MAYBE
NOT
NOW
I realize I'm talking about
a VERY SPECIFIC thing
when I SAY

I'm talking about that kind of
SOMETHING about the HUMAN CONDITION
& the HANGNAIL
