this afternoon & then later
I was somewhat dismayed
to have
I never promised you a rose garden
HOWEVER
I did take a picture of some roses
there were roses blooming
& I had been trying
to figure out
WHO
was THE rose
I named myself after
I honestly think
it was a character in a book
BUT
I can't remember
I KNOW there was a book I liked
about a little gypsy* girl

BUT I can't remember
enough about it*
