so, i went to work today, and it was all different

one of the supervisors interceded
for me, i think
on my helper's behalf
so she won't have to leave

my regional purse strings
who had said:
that $2000 you got there is all there is
[after i had restocked last week
and bought promo items]
apparently
didn't say that at all

what she meant to say was
she couldn't fund overages that were not for
ad items, basically

and though i'm not thrilled
that is different, very
because
the ads drive business

also
one of my coworkers made me cupcakes
which i wasn't there to eat
and
they did not save me one single cupcake

but, really
it was the thought that counted
but i will totally have to make her something now
